Remember, let’s be polite; let’s be respectful, but most of all, let’s be outspoken.
The presents are open, the Christmas dinner quelled hunger, and the family is about to end the momentous holiday called Christmas. In my opinion, the best Christmas movie is Frank Capra’s 1946 film titled It’s a Wonderful Life. Essentially, the movie goes into depth about life’s meaning and how happiness transcends material wealth.
The movie is wonderfully directed and beautifully shot. Even though the movie is nearly 80 years old, it still provokes emotions that are best shared with your family, sorrow, joy, happiness, and an unyielding zest for life. The long movie provides a unique narration into the lives of a modern, regular family. In a sense, the main character’s struggles are relatable – crushing debt, tiring family obligations, and increasingly futile dreams.
The main character ultimately does rise beyond these regular and relatable problems by realizing his life’s impact. In a way, the beauty of this film is that anyone can experience the blissful realization the main character felt, and during a time as crazy as now, a little bliss is something we all need.
