For those who have seen it or do not mind spoilers, the movie revolves around the narrative of two British soldiers during WWI. They are given direct orders by the general to send a message to a different platoon which was stationed miles away.
Over the last holiday season, I watched the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Although I have watched it numerous times, I always get emotional at the end. It is a well-produced movie with one of the best plots I have ever seen. I encourage anyone to watch it, especially with family.
I used to think that war was attractive. In my childhood, I would read about World War II with excitement and wonder. I believed that it was admirable that the nation was able to band together in its greatest time of need in order to defeat a great foe and help liberty and justice prevail.
Growing up, everyone has a dream. Whether it is to do something as unrealistic as “become a dinosaur” or something as grand as solving world hunger, everyone wants to do something when they are naive and young.
