The writing staff consists of editors and contributors. Contributors write Op-eds on all of our topics, and Editors curate the articles within their sections. They are important to the writing team in providing perspective on certain issues.
Section Editors

Juno Lee is the Politics Section Editor. He’s in love with political philosophy and debates while dabbling in music at the same time.

Tara Lama is the Politics Section Editor. She attends Brighton High School in Rochester, NY. She is a tea, film, and poetry enthusiast. In her free time, Tara loves playing the violin, perfecting her lackluster culinary skills, and exploring the grandeur of nature. She dreams of helping to create a more compassionate society and is involved in multiple leadership extracurriculars, such as being Class President.
Charlize Ocon is the World Section Editor. She attends Oak Park High School in California. Her hobbies include Mock Trial, painting, reading, and baking her world-famous chocolate chip cookies.

Sonal Sukhatme is the World Section Editor. She attends La Canada High School in California. Sonal’s hobbies include painting, reading, and playing tennis.

Trisha Vyas is the Entertainment Section Editor. She resides in New Jersey. Trisha writes for her school paper. Her hobbies include swimming, singing, and reading.

Carson Sizemore is the Resources Section Editor. She attends Deerfield Windsor School in Albany, GA. Her hobbies include painting/drawing, sports (track and field), and music.

Aditya Desai is the Sports Section Editor. He is passionate about sports journalism.

Jackie Fassbender is the Economics Section Editor. She is interested in the workings of economic systems around the world. Jackie shows this through her love of debate and travel.

Keshav Fernando is the Economics Section Editor. He has avid interests in business, economics, and the crypto world. He is a competitive swimmer as well as a lacrosse player who enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends, and family in his free time.

Nathaniel Chun is the Tech Section Editor. He attends La Canada High School in California. Apart from hanging out with friends, he enjoys weightlifting, the outdoors, and anime.
Contributors

Francesca Perris Magnetto is the Contributing Writer. Italian but Swiss-born Francesca is currently completing her third year at L’Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. Francesca relocated to Tokyo, Japan during a six-month period in which she gained working experience at Conrad Tokyo. Francesca is interested in the sociological factors that affect reform in sustainability and solutions to modern problems.


Caden Feehan is a contributor. He is a senior at La Canada High School and is on the varsity basketball team.

Milo Jhun is a Local Reporter and Contributor. He has reported on the La Cañada Charity and has written several opinion articles on politics.

Noelle Kim is a pseudonym for an anonymous contributor who enjoys creative freedom behind literary anonymity. Articles by this author cover a wide variety of topics.

Cole Rohan is a Contributor and Host of the La Cañdid Podcast. He has written several opinion articles on politics.

Kylie Sears is a Local Reporter and Contributor. She reports on the La Cañada Black Lives Matter Movement protests and writes Op-eds about the Black Lives Matter Movement.

Royce Xiao is a Contributor as well as the head of cinematography. He plays varsity soccer and he also plays varsity football. Royce has a passion for skateboarding and video editing.

Ella Bogen is a senior at La Canada High School. She is a member of pep squad as well as theatre and the president of the Hearing Hero’s Club.

Luke Manion is a contributor. He is a nationally ranked tennis player who enjoys playing video games and reading.

Benjamin Lee is a contributor. Benjamin Lee is a rising Freshman. He loves baseball and is interested in public forum.

Liam is a contributor with a love for writing who is passionate about sports, the world of public policy, and above all, food.

Aaron Magtoto is the Director of Photography. In addition to taking photos, he is interested in foreign policy and affairs as well as global development.

Elizabeth Casey is the Copy Editor. She is a rising senior passionate about sharing the opinions and perspectives of her peers with her greater community. She is interested in philosophy, mental health, and political advocacy. She also serves as the Editor in Chief of Struck, an art and literary magazine.

Jack Kim is a contributor and a photographer. He plays varsity tennis and enjoys studying photography.
